How does PhotoSweep work?

PhotoSweep is designed to make the process of getting physical prints easy. We all like having physical prints of photos we take, so why not make it a regular occurrence?
With PhotoSweep, as you take pictures you can select (tag) the photos you want prints of and have the App mail them to you (and others) at the frequency you desire. For example, you can tell PhotoSweep to “sweep” all the marked pictures in your queue, print and mail them at a frequency of once every week, every two weeks, every month, etc.

Can I send pictures to my friends and family?

Yes! PhotoSweep is all about sharing your special moments, so why not share the love and send pictures to your friends and family too!
All you need to do is add the contact in the Options menu (from your Contacts/Address Book) to the picture you are tagging for printing when you select the photo. If you don’t have the person’s address in your contact list, you may enter it manually, or the App will send them a request. Once the system has the Contact and their Address, we will print and mail their photos at the same time we send yours.

How much are prints from PhotoSweep?

4x6 prints are $0.19USD each plus $2.50USD flat rate shipping. (Shipping will always be a flat rate, even if you take thousands of pictures.)

My photos are blurry/fuzzy? Why is this happening?

In order to provide the highest quality photos, we recommend you keep your settings set to the highest resolution. This will avoid any issues with fuzzy or blurry pictures when we print them.

How do I select pictures from my Gallery or Photo Library?

The PhotoSweep App will allow you to take pictures within the App itself and tag them for printing, OR you can access your gallery and select pictures already in there.

Can I have a message printed on the back of the picture?

Yes! You can type up to 40 characters on the back of the picture. We especially like this feature if you are sending to friends and family and you can write a note about the special moment! (Please note that Instagram and other irregularly formatted photos may not have information on the back of photos due to formatting issues. We are working to include this feature for irregularly formatted photos soon).

Can the date and location be printed on the back of the picture?

Of course! You can use your phone GPS for the location and date or enter it manually. Because these two items appear on the same line, just make sure to keep the date and location to 40 characters. (Please note that Instagram and other irregularly photos may not have information on the back of photos due to formatting issues. We are working to include this feature for irregularly formatted photos soon).

What type of printing process does PhotoSweep use?

We use an Epson dry lab and our pictures are printed on Luster style paper, guaranteeing top quality prints.

How can I print pictures from social platforms such as Facebook and Instagram?

PhotoSweep is working on implementing this feature soon. In the meantime, you can print pictures taken from your smartphone and save pictures from other sites to your Library or Gallery and select them manually.

Can I print square photos from Instagram?

YES! Feel free to include photos you have captured and edited in Instagram and other filtering apps. These squares will be cut to size and mailed with your order.

Can I print larger pictures?

Currently we can only offer 4"x 6", but will soon be allowing users to select their preferred sizes for the pictures they order, or change the size in the options menu. We would love to hear from those of you that would use this feature!

How do I view the status of my order?

You can check your order status in the App in the Queue section. It will tell you how many pictures you have in your queue at that time and your next scheduled 'Sweep'. If you want to check if an order has shipped, please feel free to shoot us a note and we can check the account for you.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes, we most certainly do.

What are the shipping options?

We ship orders through the US Postal Service via regular mail.

How long will it take to get my order?

It takes 1-2 days for PhotoSweep to process and print your order and generally 2-5 business days for mailing. The beauty of PhotoSweep is that you will set how often you would like to receive your photos, and once you have begun using the App through one full 'Sweep' cycle, you will receive your photos as often as you have set your settings, making the processing time negligible.

How do I edit my profile information?

Go into your Settings in the PhotoSweep app, make your edits and save.

How will PhotoSweep contact me about my orders?

You can select if you prefer to receive communication from PhotoSweep via email or text message.

What are your different payment methods?

PhotoSweep accepts MasterCard, Visa and American Express.

Does PhotoSweep share my personal or payment information?

PhotoSweep works with a payment gateway called Braintree, whose entire business model is based around securely storing and processing your payments and information. We aren’t interested in being something we aren’t, so we trust experts for this rather than try to spread ourselves too thin.

What is the return and exchange policy?

PhotoSweep is committed to making our customers happy. If there is a problem with your order that was due to something we did wrong, email us at: and we will take care of it. We will gladly reprint your order at our expense.

Do you store my payment information for quick check out?

Once you enter your preferred payment information in your profile, it will be saved for future orders. This way you do not need to re-enter every time you order. Because PhotoSweep will sweep and print only the pictures you have selected, at the frequency you have designated, it is important for us to have your payment information stored and ready to charge. We use a payment gateway called Braintree, whose entire business model is to keep your payments and information secure, so you can rest easy while utilizing the convenience of not having to ‘check out’ each time.
